  • Twitter Setup

Twitdar must be authorized to connect to your twitter account. To do so, login to your twitter account via the Twitter Setup page. After logging in, you will be given a PIN to enter. If the login page does not appear, hit back and try again.

You must push the "Allow" button to receive the PIN. Pushing "Go" on the keyboard will deny Twitdar from connecting to your twitter account.

    Twitdar Settings

    Custom message tokens:
$link: Provides a link to your current location (via Google Maps)
$route: Provides a link to a map showing your route as plotted by each update (via GPS Visualizer).
$coord: Provides plain text coordinates in the format, (latitude, longitude).

The preset picker, allows you to quickly switch messages. The five presets are fully customizable.

The timer allows you to set a delay before Twitdar starts to update.

Updates are dependent on customizable time frequency or distance change. If updates are set to off, Twitdar will only send a single update and nothing else.

    Activating Twitdar

Activating Twitdar is as easy as flipping the cover off with a swipe and pushing the button. Twitter must be set up and a message must be set before Twitdar can be activated.

    Twitdar Broadcasting

The first two times Twitdar is run, the iPhone will ask if you want to allow the GPS to be enabled.

To stop broadcasting and return to the main screen, simply push both buttons on the bottom of the screen at the same time.

Twitdar disables idling to ensure that your messages go out when you need them to. The idling is re-enabled when your battery drops below 20%. The screen will still dim if the screen is not touched for 5 seconds.

Note: If the message being sent to Twitter is static (no GPS tokens), only the first update will be shown.
